WHAT IS FAITH-WALK MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL?

FMI is a non-profit evangelistic and mission organization chartered in Texas in 1986. It's purpose is to take the Gospel of Jesus around the world using what ever means God provides. It is under the auspices of FMI that Mike and Diane Rasberry have ministered since 1986.

WHY DO YOU CONSIDER IT NECESSARY TO EVANGELIZE IN COUNTRIES WHICH ARE ALREADY VERY RELIGIOUS?

Christianity is God's attempt to reach man. Genesis chapter 3 records the fall of man from the intimate relationship which he once enjoyed with Holy God. God promised that He would provide a way by which mankind could again enjoy that personal intimate relationship. He emphasized that there would be only one way. Man must put his faith personally and individually in the Messiah who would bridge the gap between sinful man and Holy God. That promise was fulfilled in Jesus Christ of Nazareth who: was miraculously born of a physical virgin, was crucified upon a cross, was resurrected from the tomb, and ascended to heaven where He is awaiting to return and gather the church, His bride, for eternity.

Religion is man's attempt to reach God. Since the fall, man has invented all manner of substitutes for God's plan. The deceiver of this world who first deceived Eve, continues to deceive mankind. Those religions which deviate from the Biblical plan as outlined above are false religions and will ultimately lead men to eternal destruction.

ISN'T SOUTH KOREA A CHRISTIAN NATION?

There are really three great religions in South Korea. The first is Buddahism. Most of the people who are religious are Buddahist. The second is Materialism. Materialism with its humanistic bent is rapidly gaining the hearts of the Korean People. The third is Christianity.

When one looks out upon the night time Korean landscape he sees numerous flourescent crossses. Such a sight would cause the believer to rejoice if he did not understand that very few of those crosses represent true Biblical Christianity. Error is perpetuated because culture rather than Biblical Doctrine is the ultimate authority for most Koreans. When Biblical principles clash with Korean culture, the latter almost always prevails.

WHAT IS A TENTMAKER?

A tentmaker is one who works on the local economy to support himself while using the job as a means to make inroads into the culture with the Gospel. This is especially effective in countries that are closed to Christian Missionaries, where "career missionaries" cannot get a visa.
